It is mid-Summer 2023. In California, I have five movies to watch in theaters. It is a Miracle: Great Hollywood movies suddenly are available in a bunch.
They are Barbie, Killers of Flower Moon, Mission Impossible, Napoleon, and Openheimer. Not in that order, however, to my liking!
Yet, look at the variety: They are all good! Considering it is coming from an audience that has been critical and continues to remain so.
I started the “Hollywood Going Bust Longtime” chapter. Now, it is already, on its second episode. They contend with the ongoing strike and the divided America.
Here credit goes where credit is deserved!
SUPERSTARS OF HOLLYWOOD IN FIVE 2023 MOVIES
Emely Blunt, Joaquin Phoenix, Leonardo Di Caprio, Margot Robbie, Matt Damond, Pom Klementieff, Rami Malek, Robert DeNiro, Robert Downey Jr., Ryan Gosling, Tom Cruise, Vanessa Kirby are some of the cast of these five.
The rest are no chopped liver either. What about producers, starting with Martin Scorsese, and the likes: Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, or David Ellison!
Now, I am not an expert but how much AI is part of any of these five movies? Any, some, or most make all the difference in the world for the striking actors.
Could they have done the same movies without AI, when all above mentioned actors were still able to find a great role to play as is?

Five Movies: Too Little Too Late
I only watched Mission Impossible so far. AI must have done a good amount of work there. Otherwise, it would be either like the Murder on the Orient Express” or the “Murder, She Wrote.” Murder.
Either were good when they were released but times have moved forward fast already. We need more creativity in movies than the dialogue of “Gone With The Wind” or the action of “Ben-Hur”.
Miracle in this case is the fact that five of these movies came out with promo at the same time. First part of Summer 2023, there was nothing to look forward to for us.
There were a couple movies that made hundreds of millions of dollars each. Yet, they are not enough to pull in enough to take Hollywood out of the misery.
This year’s Summer target is 4 billion total dollars. It is much like the numbers of the past couple of years. With this year’s strike though, what are the chances to maintain it?

Cucumber Season
Now that we are also in the Cucumber Season for Hollywood, much like the TV business goes in summers, where do we go next?
Documentaries were else! On that note, that is the business we are in, though these days Daphne and I like to brag about being movie-makers.
Our “Amy Winehouse” movie, much like everything else, is on hold due to the strike. So are all the rest of the scripted projects we have in the pipeline.
Since we are allergique to the “Cucumber Season” thanks to Daphne making the season interesting with her scoops, this year is no exception.
2024 Political Season
Our 2024 political season has long begun. If it was “Trump vs Hollywood: The Two White Houses” only four years ago, there must be something cooking for 2024.
Soon we will give a hint about what we are on. We will try to make it as interesting as was the last one. Then, we were then in production in the incarcerated months of 2020.
Much like now, call it “Cucumber” or something else, we were most busy. We created more than 100 much-needed jobs with a single documentary.
More details about the likelihoods, regarding the documentary this time around:
to air sooner than expected
to be a sequel
to be more popular than “Trump vs Hollywood” without Hollywood
to be a theater release
