When I heard that “the US Air Force has formally begun the competition for its highly-classified Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) fighter aircraft”, I visited the search engines. I came across an interesting entry: “Only 3 countries have managed to build 5th-generation fighters, but nearly a dozen are already working on 6th-gen jets.” That said, none of these “Dirty Dozen” has anything but a figment of imagination at the table at this time. Meanwhile, what’s in a name, TUSAŞ of Turkiye, have two of the kind on the tarmac, ready to fly this year.
NEXT-GEN 6TH GENERATION FIGHTER
Here is the exact entry from the world’s leading Globalist search engine. When I typed “Next-Gen 6th Generation Fighter”, the following came among the top three choices.
“A sixth-generation fighter is a conceptualized class of jet fighter aircraft design more advanced than the fifth-generation jet fighters that are currently in service and development.
Several countries have announced the development of a national sixth-generation aircraft program, including the United States, Russia and China, while Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and Sweden have joined together in collaborative multinational programs in an effort to spread development costs.
The first sixth-generation fighters are expected to enter service in the 2030s.”

TUSAŞ : Turkish Aerospace
The United States, Russia, and China are listed as countries that “have announced the development program”. Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and Sweden are part of “collaborative multinational programs”.
As usual, there is no mention of Turkiye in this entry. These “Globalist” search engines have allergies against Turks. That’s why I post regularly here so that what they avoid is available to those that care to know.
KAAN
Kaan is not a 6th generation fighter, per se. Yet, reportedly, it has features that would undermine the US 5th generation fighters F-35 and F-22.
Does that mean KAAN may be more than a 5th generation fighter because it would be “more advanced” than 5th generation fighters?
ANKA-3
TUSAŞ chief executive Temel Kotil said the unmanned “drone” called ANKA-3 has begun ground tests ahead of plans for its maiden flight this year.
The ANKA-3 will have a maximum takeoff weight of 6,500 kilograms (14,330 pounds) and a payload capacity of 1,200 kilograms (2,646 pounds).
Its maximum altitude is 40,000 feet, and can last 10 hours at 30,000 feet. Its cruise speed is 250 knots (288 mph) with a top speed of 425 knots (489 mph).

6th Generation Fighter on Tarmac
What TUSAŞ’s Temel Kotil mentions as “drone” is misleading. The ANKA-3 will also have a supersonic version. In fact, reportedly, the ANKA-3 will have four variations.
In other words, the ANKA-3 will in fact be a Next-Gen, 6th Generation Fighter. As a result, Turkiye will be years ahead of all competition with a maiden flight this year.
