Turkish Killjoy Sonars and Mines
Time to Reckon for the West in the Aegean Sea since the Inequitable Lausanne Treaty
Turkiye has now indigenously developed and mass produced defensive sea platforms. They are capable of keeping adversaries out of range. Soon they are sure to be known as the Turkish killjoy sonars and mines.
Currently, 45.5 percent of waters between the two countries is under the jurisdiction of Greece. Turkiye controls 7.5 percent since 1923. The remaining 49 percent remains international waters.
In other words, time to reckon for the West in the Aegean Sea is here for the first time since the Inequitable Lausanne Treaty. Turkiye was then forced to accept the unfavorable conditions with a Western intrigue.
MAVI VATAN: FIXING CENTURY LONG INJUSTICE
In 2019, Turkiye conducted two massive naval maneuvers and declared what is called: “Mavi Vatan.” Now, the Turkish killjoy sonars and mines will make Mavi Vatan an effective reality. Turkiye will be able to enforce “no entry” without permission.
Until now, Greece’s provocations to change the regime in the Aegean Seavfrom 6 to 12 miles were a casus belli for Turkiye. Greece was seeking to increase its jurisdiction to 71.5 percent, keeping Turkiye to 8.8 and limiting international waters to 19.5 percent.
Turkish Killjoy Sonars and Mines
Only two countries in the West have what Turkiye now has. The US used to be the only country with the sonar that can detect adversaries without being detected.
With these one-two punches, Turkiye does not need to resort to submarines or surface warships to patrol Mavi Vatan anymore.
Turkish USVs and Drones
Turkiye and the US are the two countries with most advanced unmanned surface vessels (USV). Turkish USV’s are equipped with missiles as well as with torpedoes. Some of them are also double purposed as “submersive” vehicles.
They are sure to go after enemy wessels that sonars would detect alongside now legendary Turkish drones. Aksungur, in particular, is specifically designed to patrol Mavi Vatan with heavy payload and long flying time at 25 thousand feet.
MKE’s UCA
The UCA, manufactured by the Turkish MKE, is a long range air-dropped-missile that turns into a bottom of the sea sleeping-mine. Only one other country, beside the US, had anything similar to it until now.
The UCA wakes up when it notices an adversary only to blow itself up together. With 70 miles range to the drop zone from an aircraft, any part of Mavi Vatan can be mined with an UCA from the safety zone of Turkiye proper.
