Turkish Brinkmanship Was In-Play
The Legacy of NATO Summit in Vilnius 2023
“Turkiye gave the green light for Swedish NATO membership.” That was the headline in the Globalist media in Vilnius before the summit began. In fact, it should have said Turkish brinkmanship was in-play and it paid off.
In other words, what was a Turkish Manifesto a year ago, became a Turkish Brinkmanship a year later. As a result, Turkiye took six and gave up one, tally shows. Yet, all faces were smiles among Globalist Western leaders.
What is wrong with this picture?
WHY BIDEN, SUNAK, AND MACRON WERE ALL SMILES
Surely, they were not all smiles because they were good sports. Rather, they were able to go back home and claim victory. None of them expected to go back with a gift. None was expecting Recep Tayyip Erdogan to give a green light for the Swedish entry.
At this stage and as it happens to be true in the Globalist West we live in, appearance is everything. So long as a leader looks like a winner nothing else matters. Kicking the can down the road has been a way of life for the past few decades ever since the disintegration of the Soviet Union.

So what did the Turkish brinkmanship that was in-play bring to Turkiye?
From Sweden
First, the questions of Democracy, Revolutionary Fighter, and Give and Take found their answers. Yesterday, I had suggested that for a “green light” Sweden had to attend a “remedial class” on these three topics.
Apparently, when President Erdoǧan met Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson of Sweden, they agreed to step up trade and investment with each other. Sweden also agreed on two other points.
One that would work against the Syrian wing of the PKK, known as the YPG. The other is a deeper cooperation on security issues and a promise to revive Turkiye’s quest for EU membership.
All in all, in summary, Sweden in layman's terms stated that it will no longer question if there is Democracy in Turkiye. It will also no longer make idiotic arguments who is a revolutionary fighter or who is a terrorist.
From Both Sides of Atlantic
Turkish Brinkmanship simply demanded two additional things from either side of the Atlantic, as well. From the US, the demand was the delivery of 40 F-16 fighter aircrafts. From the EU, the demand was full membership to the biggest market in the world.
F-16 FIGHTER JETS FROM THE U.S.
Turkey has asked the U.S. for approval to buy 40 new F-16s, as well as kits to upgrade its existing fleet. The request was backed by the White House but ran into opposition in Congress.
Within hours of Erdogan apparently dropping his veto on Sweden, President Joe Biden signaled that the U.S. intended to proceed with the F-16 sale in consultation with Congress.
BECOMING AN EU MEMBER
Following Erdogan's remarks, European officials rebuffed any link between Sweden’s NATO membership and Turkey’s 36-year bid to join the EU.
Stoltenberg reiterated the point, saying that Turkey’s relationship with the EU was “not an issue for NATO, it’s an issue for the European Union.”
But, he told reporters that “what Sweden agreed today as an EU member was to actively support the efforts to reinvigorate Turkey’s EU accession process.”

What Will Be In-Play in Wash. DC?
If Turkiye dares to introduce a Manifesto in Madrid and then ups the ante with a Brinkmanship in Vilnius, what could be in store for Wash. DC?
I published “GameChanger” in 2020. There I talked about the “Zero Sum Game.” I also explained where Turkiye would play it.
However, I also stated that where Turkiye will not play a “Zero Sum Game” does not mean that it will not play a “Chicken Game”.
On that note, I also concluded that if Turkiye were to play a “Chicken Game” it may always end up with a “Zero Sum Game” in the long term anyway.
If this analogy makes any sense, then it should be clear what will be in-play in Wash. DC. If not, then looking into “wolf trap” may give a hint or two.
About The Wolf Trap
The wolf trap with Turks is avoidable. All Sweden and the rest of the Alliance members on both sides of the Atlantic have to do is not to cross Turkiye.
Otherwise the “Potamac Two-Step” will be in play in Wash DC but played by Turks. Manifesto + Brinkmanship and then Wolf Trap. Get it?
