The US Senators are the cream of the crop of American society. They are the best of the best that a state can produce. As a result, they are good for America however with a caveat. They must do what is right for America at all times. For that, they must always have at least the mental capacity to deliver on the job. Alas the US Senate: The Achilles Heel that is nowadays bringing the US hegemony in the world to an end.
KENNEDY WISDOM
President John F. Kennedy has said it best when he analyzed it, something like this, paraphrasing him: “When I was a Senator, I felt like I was one of 100 with not much power. When I became the President, I noticed how the US Senators as a group are a big impediment to the most powerful office in the world.”
The US Senate: The Achilles Heel
Elderly But Also Incapacitated
Dianne Feinstein and Mitch McConnell are more than impediments to the US Senate at this stage. This is not only because they are elderly and show their age.
Rather, something must be wrong with this US Senatorial system. To put it undiplomatically, Dianne and Mitch may seem to have been abusing the system.
What is worse, they are not even aware of it and the US Senate does not have a mechanism to correct it. Worse, it may have become outdated for the current times.
Dianne Feinstein
California Democrat
Dianne Feinstein, born Dianne Emiel Goldman, on June 22, 1933. That means, she is now 90 years old. She was elected as a Democrat to the U.S. Senate in 1992 as the first woman to serve. In 2023, Feinstein announced that she would be retiring in two years.
Isn’t it a little late for this announcement? Shouldn’t Dianne have long resigned from her post like when she was around 80 or about ten years ago? Reportedly, she has lately been incapacitated for weeks at a time.
Maybe this is why America has been decaying the past few decades as rapidly. How many more US Senators would have been considered “incapacitated” lately, considering? An internal comparison with past performances would surely reveal it!
Mitch McConnell
Kentucky Republican
A second example from the other side of the aisle would do justice with an equally serious member of the esteemed body. Mitch McConnell recently froze before cameras. Like another “dead man walking” it was an embarrassing moment.
The fact that the 46th president is nowadays represents similar shortcomings with these two senators does not make it right. Addison Mitchell McConnell III has been serving as the senior United States senator from Kentucky since 1985.
After a certain age, these elderly statemen and women do not even have the capacity to understand if they are doing the right thing for themselves. How could they be expected doing the right thing for the superpower America?

Serving Local And Small Interests
Then there are Marco Rubio and Bob Menendez brothers from Florida. Yes, they are US Senators but not brothers. However they are both Floridians. One was able to leave the Sunshine state. The other couldn’t. Their problem is how they can think bigger for all America not for some aspects of America.
