Retreating America & Turkification
America is still the sole superpower of the world. However, it is also the power that is in retreat. What is wrong with this picture is one question? The other: Who is filling the vacuum?
America has been in retreat ever since 1991 and there is no sign it will stop anytime soon. Meanwhile, rising powers of the East are filling the vacuum it leaves behind. For example, Turks are coming in full steam. A closer look at retreating America & Turkification shed a good light.
TURKIFICATION
Turkification is the term given to policies and attitudes. It emphasizes Turkish population homogeneity, culture, and language. They are mainly promulgated by the Young Turks, Kemalists, and later nationalists.
However, since the turn of the Millennia, Turkification must have taken a new meaning.
Nowadays, it resonates with more people in many different countries. For example, more people are learning the Turkish language.
Retreating America & Turkification
America has been retreating from the Middle East for a while. Now, the retreat is in Africa. Turkification fills the vacuum in both regions.
Middle East
There is an undeniable Turkification process across the Middle East. However, that is not limited to medical tourism of all things.
Having a Turkish military platform is becoming a common denominator for all the countries in the region. They range from small arms to drones.
Africa
Turkification arrived in Africa with the Turkish Airlines. 44 Turkish embassies now operate there. They are paving the way for the bilateral trade to grow.
As a result, Africans are rapidly learning the difference between Colonialism and Turkification. While the former is a one-way street, the latter is win-win.
Retreating America & Turkification
Turkification comes with technology and shared values.
Technology
Turkification nowadays spreads with superior Turkish military platforms. Everyone that asks for one, gets one from land vehicles to air platforms.
In the past century, American “foreign aid” was vitally important for many Third World countries. Today, how many of them count on American aid, if any?
Common Values
All the countries in the Middle East and half of them in Africa enjoy common values with Turkification. They are Muslims.
The other half in Africa also share common values with Turkification. Simply because it does not discriminate based on religion or culture or language.
Retreating America & Turkification
At this stage, two questions deserve answers. One, did Colonialists discriminate in Africa? Did America discriminate in the Middle East?
