Horizons for the Turkish Movie Industry
Movie industry in modern Turkiye has always been “green”, compared to Hollywood.
20 years ago, Conservatives took the mantle in 2002 and they rejuvenated it. In fact, they broke shackles. Yet, the industry still remained “green”. It was on its own choice though, with a caveat. Now, it was to reflect the Islamic glory. In other words, with these crazy Turks: Yeşil Hollywood, nowadays, represents both ends of the spectrum.
YEŞİLÇAM (GREENPINE)
Until Turkish soap opera television series started to dominate the world, there was a “Yeşilçam”. It was the Turkish Hollywood. It was making movies for Turks in Turkiye. Over time, Turkish diaspora in Western Europe also became part of its domain.
Two decades later, Turkish television series were hit shows in more than 160 countries in the last count. Their common denominator with the Yeşilçam movies of the past were love stories. They made most everybody cry.

Avoiding Globalist West
It is right to call the Turkish movie makers “Crazy Turks”, but also “Yeşil Hollywood”. It is not for nostalgic reason to Yeşilçam. Rather, there are two reasons. One, it is a fledgling industry, learning the ropes along the way. Two, it has the courage to challenge Hollywood and the rest of the world.
Television Series
Crazy Turks did not challenge Hollywood outright. They would not have had a chance to compete with all the independent studios of Hollywood, never mind the majors.
They were smart to exploit the industry with television series. They employed widely available streamers, avoiding costly theater distribution trickeries.
Turkish episodes, currently, sell four times the price of their American counterparts. With half the production cost, their impact has a double whammy factor.
They make tons of money and they are growing leaps and bounds. Soon they are sure to venture into uncharted territories. For that, they are building major studios.
Yeşilçam to Major Studios
Yeşil stands for “green” in Turkish. “Yeşilçam” in that regard was “green”. It was immature, fledgling, primitive, more importantly, poor. It was enough for aspiring and talented movie makers of a third world country living under subjugation.
American hegemony was supreme. Hollywood was like thunder. There was nothing like a human kind had ever seen. There was nothing to do but to wait for the 21st century, until a White Night of a myth would appear and elevate everything.

Jumping On The Bandwagon
Crazy Turks: Yeşil Hollywood finally arrived with the turn of the Millennia. As soon as the Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime came to power in 2002, they spread like daisies.
Much like daisies of the Turkish Defense Industry, these daisies followed a similar pattern. They were there to serve the world beyond the Globalist West first and most.
Globalist Mouth Pieces
Globalist mouthpieces like for example NPR in the US or DW in Germany or Reuters in the UK never paid attention to this Turkish industry.
A simple Western search engine visit, for example, on “Recep Tayyip Erdogan & Turkish movie industry” will have no related entries.
As a result, the phenomenal growth of this industry will escape some movie makers in the West. That in turn will possibly hurt Hollywood even more, missing the trend.
Fear Has No Cure When It Comes To Dying
In Turkish, there is a common saying: “Korkunun ecele faydasi yoktur.” It translates into something like this: “Fear has no cure when it comes to dying.”
Decaying Western economy since Globalists came to power in 1992 is inevitable. The GDP of the US was 26 percent of the global economy then. In 2016, it was 15 percent.
As a result, the hold of Hollywood over global audiences equally shrunk, accordingly. Add to that regimes like Erdogan’s Turkiye filling the vacuum. There you have it.

Riding On Love Stories
Crazy Turks and Yeşil Hollywood, they are here to stay and grow. How fast they will grow is the only question. How wide they will grow is not.
No one needs to compare the 20th century with the 21st. Times have long moved on. Yeşilçam of old is not the measuring stick for the current times.
In the absence of the US hegemony, there is the New World Order. Turkiye with the Erdogan regime in power, is one of the players.
The cards have now been also been distributed by Crazy Turks. They are at the table. Before, the US led West used to dictate the rules of the game.
Crazy Turks
Crazy Turks will continue to grow the audience for Turkish movies in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and selective portions of Europe, including the Western Europe.
In North America too they will make inroads. After all, love stories sell everywhere and make everyone cry. People for some reason love to cry.
Apparently, these crazy Turks are well aware of it. They cannot write anything without an emotional scene that will make everyone cry.
