Talking Turkey about the leading defense industries in the world, Turkiye is becoming one of the big four. Not in the future, it is about to become anytime now.

CHINA AND RUSSIA BUT NOT AMERICA

It is impossible to have a defense industry and not depend on another country. Period. That is the case for sure for America, the biggest economy in the world.

China or Russia may be totally relying on their domestic resources and capabilities. However, it may not also be the case. It is difficult to prove.

Turkiye, on the other hand, is out there adamant to make it a reality. The doability of the defense industry, relying 100% on domestic means is a novel idea, but it is also almost there.

Crazy Turks: All 100%

I did not read this book. Two things got my attention. It says it is the 424th edition. Do these crazy Turks print books 1000 copies for each edition? If so, this book sold 500 thousand copies. It headlines: “These Crazy Turks.” Apparently, a lot of people are familiar with them, not just the famous Western authors of the Middle Ages.

Meaning?

“All” stands for air, sea, and land forces. Add to that stratosphere, space, and underwater. 100% means 100%, including hardware, software and everything in between.

That means a simple screw or an electronic chip. Considering there are about two thousand pieces to make a supersonic aircraft, what goes into making each part?
