ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION
I remember it well when I first met her. It was on one of the biggest yachts I have ever been in my life. It was docked on the Hudson River in Manhattan, New York, by the 42nd Street. We were there to meet up with the Cat Woman like no other, among other things.

I had been on this yacht once before. It had a gold-plated dining room table and chairs.
Then it was docked in Kings Point, Long Island, New York. The house there was no smaller or different than the palace in Romania. The one where the leader of the country Nicolae Ceausescu lived.
This time Daphne did not want to trek away from Manhattan to have this gathering. So, “If the Mountain won't go, then Mohammed s.a.v. must come to the Mountain”.

Let’s keep the story about Mohamed s.a.v. for another time.

Cat Women Like No Other
More Like A Tiger
Jocelyn was the sole attraction on the yacht, as Daphne’s special guest. She was lounging in the main deck: Elegant and sexy as usual with all her assets.
All the councilmen of New York City you cannot get a hold of were there. They were the special guests too but only to admire Jocelyn from 20 feet away.
Jocelyn was the only one sitting, leisurely and alone while everyone was standing. As if they were restricted to approach her, except to observe like a “thing”.
After all, they were right: She was the Tiger, the biggest cat ever in so many ways.
Keeping Prying Eyes Away
Daphne, as always, knew what she was doing. As soon as we arrived, always the last to the party and first to leave, she told me to go next to Jocelyn to keep her company.
So, I did.
Entire night!
But also, on many other nights and days, on numerous occasions for the next decade.

After saying a simple “hi”, I sat next to her. For the next two hours, we did not notice anyone else on that yacht.
We were talking French, as if we knew each other from the same boarding school. We were both French educated however in continents away.
I was in Istanbul, Türkiye while she was in between Switzerland and Kenya. Nevertheless, it was good to finally come together and reminisce, in a sense.
Cat Woman Like No Other
But Also, America Like No Other
I wonder now what those poor slobs were thinking all along. Surely, they were a happy bunch that should have been home a long time earlier that night.
Alas, that is not how the world revolves in high stake New York City!

Two decades later, I would understand the wisdom of Daphne. We had already spent four years in Wash DC as the Trump delegates. We had understood what “degeneration” meant.
In that respect, there was not much difference with those poor slobs in NY and in the Capital of the greatest Republic. Unfortunately, greed, back-stabbing, scavenging had long become the norm in America.
Cat Woman
Here, There, and There!
One time, me and Jocelyne ended up at the New York Fashion Show. The show on the Catwalk began only after her Rolls-Royce pulled up. Suddenly, the very few cushioned first row chairs emptied for us so that all cameras can also capture us as well as who were on the Catwalk.

On another day, Daphne suggested that I take Jocelyn to Lunch at the United Nations. I don’t think anyone continued eating for the next hour when we sat down for the lunch. As usual, we had our tete-a-tete all throughout, enjoying of all things New Zealand cuisine that was the specialty du jour.

Final story of today with Jocelyn took place at our place in Midtown, Manhattan. Daphne invited 100 “Fat-Cats”, friends of hers. They all wanted to meet Hillary. Then, she was Senator Clinton and was planning to announce her candidacy for president. However, no one knew until it was time that the most attractive and wealthiest of all “Cats” among them was none other than Jocelyn.
So, What is Lesson of the Day?
You have to decide for that. Meanwhile, I have few questions to pose for you to wonder.
1. Did Jocelyne steal the show there too?
2. How did Hillary up the ante not to be undermined?
3. What else did Daphne do that night?
4. On that note, what about me?
5. Somebody had to deal with all three “powers to be” that night, no?
6. How did I become the center of attention when Jocelyn and Hillary were around?

These are the types of “exclusive revelations” you can expect from Erbil Writes.
Meanwhile, here is to you briefly and the latest about Jocelyn Wildenstein!
Cat Woman Like No Other
Jocelyn Wildenstein
When I was introduced to Jocelyn on that yacht and took her to lunch at the UN few years later, and when she joined us to celebrate Hillary Clinton that night, Jocelyn was collecting 100 million dollars a year alimony from her art dealer husband as part of her divorce settlement for the next 20 years.
In 2016, Daphne interviewed Jocelyn one last time because Jocelyn had unfortunate news to share. Her 100-million-dollar payments had suddenly stopped before the 20-year agreement ended. Apparently, as soon as her ex had died, his family decided not to continue with the payments to Jocelyn.
Here is the link for Daphne’s interview published in Daily Mail to learn what happened to Jocelyn ever since and subscribe to Erbil Writes to continue with the further details revolving around this saga and others like that that are in the news with “Exclusive Revelations.”
