4 US-Navy Task-Force Will-Not-Do

If one carrier group is not enough deterrent, wouldn't four task forces be sitting-ducks, spread too thin? Plus, accidents happen with all these moving parts when everyone else sits still.

Have you ever heard about the US-Navy Task-Force? What about a 4 US-Navy Task-Force Will-Not-Do?

Since WWII, it must be unimaginable to hear anything like: “US-Navy Task-Force Will-Not-Do”.

Unfortunately, times have changed. Now, 4 will-not-do!

USNS ROBERT F. KENNEDY T-AO 208

On 28 October 2023, in San Diego, General Dynamics NASSCO christened and launched the future USNS Robert F. Kennedy (T-AO 208).

It is the fourth ship for the U.S. Navy’s John Lewis-class fleet replenisher oiler program. Navy plans to build 20 of them to replace 15 coming from the 1980s.

Kennedy Jr. Bobby is running for president and attended the event with his wife Cheryl Hines. Daphne Barak was also part of the Kennedy family delegation which was entirely of the RFK clan.

So was Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend to break a stubborn champagne bottle.

Not How Many But How To Use

Carlos Del Toro said: “I paid for this ship“ referring to the T-AO 208.

He also mentioned about 4 US-Navy Task-Force nowadays operating in warzones.

That is how Del Toro emphasized his importance, alongside the role of newly christened RFK. Replenishment oilers are vital to keep the task-forces active.

20 Replenishment Oilers

The US has 11 carriers. China and India follow with 3. Japan, the UK, and Italy have two each. Then comes Russia, France, Spain, Turkiye, Brazil and Thailand. They each have one.

The US currently has about 15 replenishment oilers like China has. Now, it plans to replace them with 20 new ones. Rightly so, 20th century warships cannot do 21st century tasks.

However, not with the washed-up Biden Administration. It simply does not know how to make the best use of what it has. What is worse, what if such lethal force explodes to our face because of misuse?

For The 3.5 Wars of Joe Biden

Recently I posted an article under the heading “Biden’s 2.5 War Mess”. I questioned how Biden plans for 3.5 wars when it does not have the means for 1 war. The US struggled to have the “2.5 War Strategy" in place in its heyday.

Secretary Del Toro proudly stated how the US Navy Task-Force is now at active duty in 4 different war zones. That means the US has to worry about more than 3 different major adversaries at the same time, and then some.

Israel and China Problems of the Biden Administration

Currently, there are three US Navy task forces operating around the Middle East. One is in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. Another is in the Indian Ocean near the Arabian Sea. The third is up on the Red Sea.

The Israeli-Palestinian mess required the US Navy to deploy 2 carrier groups. The other two carrier groups are now by the South China Sea. A simple look at the “Marine Tracker” reflects how thin the US-Navy is spread across the globe.

NATO Problems of the Biden Administration

A US president with all his faculties in place would have known better. Was dedicating 60 percent of the US fleet to the Pacific the problem? Maybe retreating US leaving Israel behind helplessly was it.

Weren’t NATO Summits in Madrid and Vilnius enough to warn what was to come? Didn’t the Joe Biden Administration fall on its face in Madrid in 2022? Only fools will see as an accomplishment the disparaging the US got in Vilnius in 2023.

To Activate the 4 US-Navy Task-Force Like That

The US in 2023 does not have capacity to keep 4 Task-Force in action like that. 4 Task-Force criss crossing Atlantic and Pacific oceans back and forth at the same time is one thing. Keeping two carrier groups at a time in two different war zones is another.

In light of the launching ceremony for the T-AO 208 Robert F. Kennedy, this point should now evade us. It is good that the US Navy will have 20 new replenishment oilers. It is a bad amen to have a commander in chief that will jeopardize them.

Were They Russia and Turkiye?

Who exactly is playing with the mind of the Joe Biden Administration? Not that the 46th Administration had much wisdom to date. Otherwise it wouldn't have made, first Ukranians now Israelis, sacrificial lambs.
