4 Turkish Strategic Assets
The Turkish Defense Industry is in the top ten in the world. By the end of this decade, it should easily settle among the top five with indigenously developed & mass produced major military platforms.
Why 4 because these 4 Turkish strategic assets are now tangible and make difference. They are “purely” Turkish made. They are “strategic” and “assets”.
One is KAAN, a fifth generation fighter plane. One is ALTAY, a superior tank. Third, is PIRI REIS, an air-independent propulsion submarine.
The last is TCG ANADOLU, the first and only “drone carrier” in the world. It will host supersonic KIZILELMA and TB-3 next generation fighters and drones.
TURKISH DEFENSE INDUSTRY
The Turkish Defense Industry did not exist in the 20th century. When Turkiye was a member of NATO, the US supplied major military platforms.
The arsenal of Turkiye consisted of discarded US Navy warships, second hand tanks, and a limited and selected number of aircrafts and helicopters.
Germany also supplied Turkiye in due process with newer versions. However, deliveries eventually stopped, mired with political bickerings.
In 2002, AK Party came to power in Turkiye. Long time staunch ally of the Western Alliance sought one final time fair and balanced treatment from “allies”.
Globalists in power since 1992 had other plans. As a result, Turkiye decided to take the high road, and initially, began moving away in “spirit”.
4 Turkish Strategic Assets
However They Are Only Samples
KAAN and ALTAY may truly be considered strategic assets. They are 100 percent indigenously developed. Mass production will begin in 2024.
PIRI REIS and TCG ANADOLU currently are indigenous at around 80 percent. 5 more of the same submarines and a second, but bigger carrier are in the works.
KAAN
KAAN will be the only viable, affordable, and available aircraft in the world. Viability is because there will not be a competitor in the global marketplace.
Affordability by client states will put competitors out of business. Availability means Turkiye will sell them with less restrictions than how the US sold F-35.
ALTAY
ALTAY Main Battle Tank is developed and being mass produced by BMC of Turkiye. Aside from the six Turkic Republics, client-states will be OIC and NATO members.
Many Turkish defense companies are involved in the manufacturing, including world’s “top 100” Turkish giants like Roketsan, Aselsan, Havelsan, and MKE.
PIRI REIS
PIRI REIS, built with German license in Turkiye, is a significant “strategic asset”. Turkiye, simultaneously, develops 100 percent indigenous submarines, as a result.
S-500 will be half the size of PIRI REIS. It will be most suitable for the shallow waters. MILDEN will be the biggest version. They will be equally lethal with ORKA & AKYA.
TCG ANADOLU
TCG ANADOLU is “purely” a “strategic asset” like no other in the world. It is a “GameChanger”. Turks are known to have revolutionized the “art of war” in history.
TCG ANADOLU is just another milestone, in that respect. Time will tell how it will change the “art of war” with KIZILELMA, TB-3, KAAN, ATAK-2 and others on board.
4 Turkish Strategic Assets
How Do They Add Up
What could an aircraft, a tank, a submarine, and a carrier add up to? Not much compared to thousands of aircrafts and tanks the US have, for example.
Not to mention nearly 100 submarines and a dozen carriers, the world’s most powerful navy has. Unless, there is more to these 4 Turkish strategic assets, of course.
New, Cheap, But Also More Sophisticated
Turkish strategic assets came into being in the past decade. However, they are not limited with these four and some are already into their next generation versions.
Plus, production costs are quite competitive. Yet, they are also sophisticated. That’s why they already made names for themselves: “Chinese Prices / German Quality”.
Client States Also Make Difference
There are two types of client states for the “Turkish strategic assets”. They are, mainly, the Third World countries. However, there are also NATO members.
Muslims, Africans, Asians, Latin Americans are natural client states for the Turkish strategic assets. NATO members prefer them for the very same reasons.
Bottom Line for the US and the West
Turkish strategic assets create two problems. One, they will sell like hot cakes. They already began. TB-2 drones are the best example, beating the US, Israel, and China.
Two, Turkish strategic assets impose their will in active war scenarios. They already proved themselves in Syria, Libya, Nagorno-Karabakh, Ukraine, and Ethiopia.
4 Turkish Strategic Assets
Eastern Mediterranean Sea
That brings us to the eastern Mediterranean Sea. What do these 4 Turkish strategic assets have to do with the current war in the Levant? Nothing really at this time.
KAAN does not fly yet. ALTAY is not in the Turkish Armed Forces yet. PIRI REIS is in sea trials. TCG ANADOLU does not have the TB-3 or KIZILELMA on board.
In the eastern Mediterranean Sea, however, Turkiye has additional “strategic assets”. They are also new, potent, sophisticated, in mass production, and in use.
They involve electronic warfare, swarming drones and unmanned sea platforms above and below water. Yet, they are not the only ones. There is a couple of “other assets”.
4 Additional Turkish Strategic Assets
They Are Credible Assets
How so? Do they present a threat? If so, how “defenseless” the US armada could be in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, at this time? If God forbid, Turkiye was not a “staunch” ally! More importantly, why no one is talking about any of these?
